Russell was born on 2/10/55 to Gail and Andy Reed in Trenton, NJ. When he was two, the family moved to Columbia, MD where Russ grew up with many friends.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree at Frostburg State College, he joined the I.B.E.W. Local 24 and worked as a construction electrician for more than 30 years.
He met Peg Lawson at Frostburg. They married in 1980 and had three children, Mary, Joe and Chuck.
Russell retired in 2013 after an accident at work. He spent his time taking care of his family, his property and the wild life around his house’s park-like setting.
He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Curtis Reed and his son, Ryan. He is survived by his wife and children, his sister Carol Reed Hutnek and her husband Skip, and all their children and grandchildren. Russ was beloved by his large extended family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
