Albert B. Parsons, 68, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on January 23, 2015 at University Hospital from complications after surgery. Albert was born on November 17, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Calvin and Dorothy Parsons-Ashbrook. He joined the US Navy in 1965 and served as a Petty Officer 3rd class during the Vietnam War. He married Connie Abe on October 9, 1971. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education. He was a surveillance supervisor at Isle of Capri in Boonville for over 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Jerry Gwynn; and his maternal aunt Frances Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his son, Michael (and wife, Stephanie) Parsons; his daughter, Susan Parsons; his grandchildren: Josiah, Adra, Rylan, and Dax; his brother, George H. Parsons; and his sisters, Tanya Cowan and Debbie Gwynn. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 27th at 7:00 pm with visitation two hours prior at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.
