Anna Marie Aldaz-Diefendorf

Anna Marie Aldaz-Diefendorf, 69 of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at University of Missouri Hospital with family by her side. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 AM – 11 AM at Memorial Funeral home. A Memorial Service will begin at 11 AM in the Chapel.

Anna was born on May 3, 1953 in Leadville, Colorado the daughter of Alfredo Aldaz and Minnie Dominga (Archuleta) Aldaz. She graduated from Lake County High School in Leadville. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in nursing from Columbia College and then earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Strawn School of Nursing. On March 13, 1998 she was united in marriage to Rick Diefendorf who survives her passing. She loved caring for and helping other people. She enjoyed animals, hiking and traveling. Having grown up in the mountains, she was always drawn back to them. She fiercely loved her husband, children and grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her husband: Rick; her two sons: Deon Pacheco and Dylan Pacheco both of Leadville, CO; Four grandchildren: Ariana Hughes; Ajia Vigil; D. J. Pacheco; Cristiano Escamilla and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law: Alice & Max Hopkins; and two brothers: Pete Aldaz and Clarence Aldaz
