

Brevard Justice Law was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, and is the oldest of four siblings. He has two remaining siblings living in Savannah and Pine Harbor, Georgia and his sister-in-law living in Athens Georgia. He is survived by his son, Charles Preston Law, Daughter in Law, Teresa Law and his grandchildren Sarah Raye Law, Charles Garrett Law, and Lily Grace Law.
Brevard was a loving father, grandfather, devoted husband, and loved helping people and serving in many volunteer capacities his entire life. For decades, he supported the love of his life his wife Charlyn Law, KOMU Television who passed too soon leaving a void in his heart. He was a dedicated servant in many capacities to his church and church family as well as involved in many community activities that were touched by his dedication and spirit. He was very active in working with food banks and outreach both in Columbia and Stuttgart touching many lives in many ways.
He left Columbia to live in Stuttgart Arkansas to be closer to his son and best friend Charles Law and was able to enjoy a peaceful life for almost fifteen years sharing with his son and family being a dad and loving Grandfather. His nickname was Grandpa Honey and was one he was proud to have.
He retired in his sixties from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he started out in 1965 working for KOMU holding many different positions from commercial photography to television director. Later he worked in academia and administration upon retirement. Prior to his service at the University, he was dedicated to professional theatre in set and lighting design, spending two decades working regionally and nationally for the University of Athens Theatre Department, Stephens College Theatre Department, the St. Louis Muny and summer stock in across the east coast.
He loved his son and supported his career and family and was always there as a father and friend until his passing. He loved photography and won numerous awards for his work as well as being a model train enthusiast.
He was humble, loving and enjoyed good conversation, as well as sharing an ear to listen to for so many people from a wide variety of walks of life. His spirit of love and compassion will be missed.
