Carol “Mrs. Mac” McDowell, 71, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away October 2, 2014. She was born in Sacramento, California on February 5, 1943, to the late Forrest and Julia (Jacques) Walthall. On March 20, 1965, she married Dwayne McDowell in Carson City, and he survives. In addition to her loving husband, Carol is survived by her children: Jeannette Payne of Columbia, Tom McDowell (wife, Racheal) of Fulton, and Brenda McDowell of Columbia; siblings: Julie Allen of Huntington Beach, California, John Walthall (wife, Tina) of Anaheim, California, Chuck Walthall of Columbia, and Forrest Walthall (wife, Jennie) of Mississippi; grandchildren: Jeremy Payne of Columbia, Tia McDowell, Trevor McDowell, and one great-grand daughter, Gracie Mae McDowell, all of Hatton, Missouri. There will be a visitation at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 6, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, and interment will commence in Memorial Park Cemetery immediately after the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
