Cheri Cochran-Zaner, 69, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of Columbia, MO, started her new journey on December 5, 2014. Cheri was born on December 19, 1944 to Floyd and Annetta (Swartz) Dillman in Neosho, Missouri. She graduated from Moberly High School in 1962. She went on to receive her degree from University of Missouri – Columbia in 1966 and later went back to complete her Master’s degree from William Woods University. She married Robert Cochran and then later in life married Dayna Zaner. She loved teaching across the state of Missouri for many years, especially reading. She enjoyed gardening and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dayna Zaner; her father, Floyd; and her step-father, Lloyd Swartz. Cheri is survived by her mother, Annetta; her son, Steve Cochran; her daughter, Stephanie (Jack) Roberts; her grandson, Parker Roberts; and several extended family members. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 3:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
