Daniel Andrews, 64, a life-long resident of Columbia, MO passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025. Friends and family may gather from 10-11am, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia. Funeral Service will begin at 11am and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Danny was born in Columbia on October 4, 1961, the youngest of three sons, to Charles and Luanna Ficken Andrews. In 1980, he graduated from Rock Bridge High School and went to work for the City of Columbia. For over 40 years he worked for the sewer department before his retirement. He married Merrett Marie Vacca in Rocheport on June 8, 1996, and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2021. Danny was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt ducks, geese, and whitetail deer. He also loved to fish the river and lakes for big catfish, spoonbill, and bass. He is survived by his brothers, Rieckie Andrews of Westminster, Co and James Andrews of Columbia; nephews, Gus, Charles, and Emily Andrews, and 10 nieces and nephews from the Vacca side of the family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merrett Andrews and his parents.
