Mr. Donald Lee Simms

He was born in San Diego, California, to the late Glendol N. and Margaret (Mills) Simms.

Don was proud to be an Eagle Scout and was an early member of the Columbia Ski Club. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate. Don was a member of the Columbia Board of Realtors for many years. He remained a lifelong Tiger fan.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, Missouri. Funeral Services will be at 9:00 am, Saturday, June 14, 2014, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Higbee City Cemetery.

Don is survived by his son, Ed Simms (wife, Theresa) of Independence, Missouri; companion, Janet Meives of Columbia, Missouri; brother, Robert Simms (wife, Chris) of Denver, Colorado; niece, Erica Nault (husband, Tim) of Spokane, Washington; and nephew, Michael Simms of Denver, Colorado.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.
