She was born on March 9th, 1922 in Childress, Texas to Charles and Grace Hoge. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Hoge and her loving husband, Russell A. Chambers, Senior. Russell and Dorothy have one son, Russell A. Chambers, Jr. married to Judy Chambers, both of Springfield, Missouri.
Dorothy loved Broadway musicals, golfing, playing bridge, traveling with her husband and family, playing BINGO, going to the lake, Wolf Harbor, baby-back ribs and prime rib. Mostly she loved her family. She was generous and thoughtful. For many years, Dorothy and Russell owned and operated The Music Shop on Broadway in Columbia, Missouri. She was a life-long Missouri Tigers fan!
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother is survived by her son, Russell Chambers, Jr.(Judy); her four granddaughters, Yvette Chambers- Jeffries (Joe), Stacy Stephens, Melissa Chambers and Stephanie Chambers; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Connor Stephens, Summer McNellis, Jack McNellis, Mollie Chambers and Paisley Chambers.
