She was born on September 9, 1939, to the late Emil Frances Kempf and Iola (Young) Kempf. Dorothy spent many years working as a cook for Columbia Public Schools before retiring.
Dorothy loved collecting clocks, thrifting, and watching game shows. She was an amazing woman that was truly loved by her family.
She is survived by her sons, Dracy (Linda) Watson and Stacy Watson; her brother, Jimmy Watson; grandchildren, Addison (Amanda), Cameron (Gracie), and Tanner Watson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Doris Watson.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale, Kenny, and Francis Kempf.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, Missouri 65202.
