A visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a service at 2:30 pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Boone County on July 4, 1930. She graduated from Hickman High School. She was married first to Alvin Lester Head on November 15, 1947 who then passed on June 4, 1977. She remarried R. Richard Wyatt on July 14, 1979. Dorothy worked as a nurse for Lee Hospital, Keller Memorial and University Hospital. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary and had a passion for cooking and vacationing in Arizona.
Dorothy was preceded in death by: parents, Edward E. and Exie McBain; first husband, Alvin Lester Head; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Bud Coats; nephew, Michael Coats; niece, Amanda McBain; step-son, Ronald Joe Wyatt; sister-in-law, Gertrude Wyatt; and son-in-law David Allphin.
She is survived by: husband, R. Richard Wyatt; children, Barbara (Jacky Hendren) Allphin, Patsy (Sam) Marcum, Susan (George) Frink, Wesley Wyatt, Rita (Scott) Estes, and Lisa (John) Gingerich; 25 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Pete (Susan) McBain.
