Elizabeth Jane Upton

Elizabeth Jane Upton was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 21, 1996 to Marilyn and Gary Upton. She was a graduate of Rock Bridge High School, and was attending the University of Missouri. During high school, Elizabeth spent a year abroad in France with the Rotary International Student Exchange Program, and she had plans to work in France this summer. Elizabeth will always be remembered by those who knew her for her outgoing personality and her natural charm, as well as her ability to love those around her unconditionally. She was a positive light in the lives of so many, and her memory will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her. She uplifted those around her with her passion for travel and her zest for life, which will never be forgotten. Elizabeth lived and loved fearlessly.

Elizabeth is survived by her mother and father, Marilyn and Gary Upton Jr; her brother, Alex Upton; her grandparents, Gary and Martha Upton of Arlington, Texas; her grandparents, Ronald and Dorothy Pizzey of Arlington, Texas; her uncle and aunt, Dave and Melanie Pizzey; her cousins, Lauren Pizzey, Zach Pizzey, and his wife Amy; her uncle and aunt, Barry and Shelley Williams; and her cousins, Caitlin and Colin Williams.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Lela Raney Wood Hall Kimball Ballroom on the Stephens College campus. Contributions may be made to Rotary International Student Exchange Program; guests are welcome to bring contributions on Saturday or send them directly to the organization.
