He was born on December 12, 1957, to Robert Lewis Clemens and Helen Juanita (Blackburn) Clemens.
Gregory was united in marriage to Carol (Tillman) Clemens on June 1, 1980.
He worked for 3M for 42 years. When his son was young, he was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Diamond Counsel. In his free time, he enjoyed biking on the trail, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Greg made friends easily and didn’t know a stranger.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Carol; son, Joe Clemens (Courtney); sister, Karen Johnmeyer; and grandchildren, Mackenzie Keilholz and Julia Clemens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Wayne Clemens; brother in-law, David Johnmeyer; David Straight; and nephew, Robby Clemens.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, MO 65202.
