Craig was born on July 27, 1960, in Fayette, Missouri, to Henry Herman Lamm, Jr. and Lee Raye (Hopkins) Lamm. A lifelong resident of Columbia, he attended local public schools and graduated from Hickman High School with the Class of 1978.
On December 7, 1985, Craig was united in marriage to Lisa Robb in Columbia, Missouri. Together, they built a life grounded in love and family and were blessed with two children, Will and Amy.
Craig dedicated over 40 years of his life to his work as an electrician with Meyer Electric and was a proud member of IBEW Local 257. He was also a Freemason and a member of Aleppo Grotto where he valued the fellowship and principles that came with it.
Outside of work, Craig found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He enjoyed coon hunting in his earlier years and spent over 25 years raising Kinder goats. At one time, he and his family also raised tobacco—work that was often tough and demanding, but a testament to his strong work ethic. Alongside his wife, he helped build and run Tickleweed Hill Farm, where he could often be found embracing his “self appointed” title of Farm Manager.
Above all else, Craig cherished his family. Nothing meant more to him than the time spent with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as “Gimp.” They held a special place in his heart, and he loved them dearly.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his children, Will Lamm and his wife Danielle, and Amy Lamm, all of Columbia, Missouri; his mother, Lee Raye Lamm of Columbia; his beloved grandchildren, Henry and Hazel Lamm; his sisters, Lori Meyer and her husband Kevin of Rocheport, Missouri, and Caryn Ginter and her husband Rodney of Columbia; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Herman Lamm, Jr.
Craig will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his generosity, his joy, and the life he built surrounded by the people and land he loved.
Memorial contributions may be made in Craig’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
