It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Alan Martin, 63, of Columbia, MO, who peacefully departed on March 7, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories.
Jeffrey was born in St. Louis, MO, on December 23, 1960, to his loving parents, Patricia Prejean and the late James R. Martin. He spent his formative years in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he graduated from Valley High School and later attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for two years.
On September 20, 2003, Jeffrey exchanged vows with the love of his life, Tammy J. Morris, and their union was blessed with love and companionship that lasted through the years.
Together with his brother, David, Jeffrey embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, owning and operating the beloved Italian Village restaurant for many years. They were dedicated to their customers and came to love their employees like family. Jeffrey was a man of diverse interests, finding immense joy in sports and travel. His vibrant personality and genuine warmth meant he never knew a stranger. Yet, amidst his varied pursuits, his family remained his greatest treasure. He adored his wife, cherished his children, Jordan and Donovan, and held dear his extended family.
Jeffrey is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy Martin; beloved children, Jordan and Donovan Martin; caring mother-in-law, LaVonne Morris; loving mother, Patricia Prejean; dear sister, Julie Deering; supportive sister-in-law, Pamela Martin; cherished nephews, Grant, Liam, and Isaac; adored niece, Paige; aunt, Susan Palan, along with extended family, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, David Martin.
Funeral services to honor Jeffrey's life will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO, on March 18, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, followed by a service and interment. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Jeffrey.
