Martha Jean Hartman

Marty Hartman, 83, of Columbia, MO passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at The Westbury in Columbia. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 19 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia. The Women’s Auxiliary rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Burial Mass on Monday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 903 Bernadette Drive Columbia, MO 65203. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

Marty was born October 24, 1942, in Clear Creek, MO to Amandus and Kathryn (Wessing) Kammerich. On February 9, 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert Hartman. They shared 35 wonderful years together.

She was a devout member of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for Shelter Insurance for over 35 years as a Life Policy Supervisor.

She absolutely loved spending time with family and friends. Whether playing cards, attending family gatherings, or simply enjoying each other’s company, she was always ready for fun. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent with each of them.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Kevin) Misslin of Columbia and Lori (Steve) Rhine of Rocheport; five grandchildren, Ashton (Colby) Edwards, Justin (Taylar) Rhine, Katelyn Rhine, Reagan Misslin, and Nathan Misslin; two great-grandchildren, Montana Edwards and Camdyn Rhine, brother-in-law, Bob Kraus; and a sister-in-law, Joan Kammerich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; three brothers, Earl Kammerich, Edwin Kammerch, and Curtis “C.R.” Kammerich; and one sister, Mary Ann Kraus.

Marty’s family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Westbury for the loving care they showed to her.
