
Mary Coram, born July 31, 1946, in Columbia, Missouri, to Allie Virginia (Davis) Black and Luther William Black Sr. She passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by William Douglas (Son) and Tracy (Douglas) Westbrook (Daughter), her grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Chick, Brandi (Lacey) Chick, Brianna (Jacob) Westbrook, and Brandon (Hailey) Westbrook, and her great-grandchildren Camden, Davina, and Corbin, all of whom will forever hold her memory close. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, father, one brother, and several extended family members.
Mary adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent simply being with them.
She had a big personality. Mary loved wolves and admired their loyalty and quiet strength. She loved cats, and enjoyed puzzles of every kind, finding comfort in the challenge and focus they brought. A lifelong fan of Western TV, Mary appreciated the Classic tales of courage and adventure. Music was a constant companion in her life, filling her home and her days with rhythm and joy.
Mary will be remembered for her humor, her strength, and especially her feistiness. Her bold spirit and unwavering love leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of her family, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00PM with a service to follow at 3:00PM, where family and friends are invited to gather and honor her memory.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit remains with them, strong and steady—just like the music she treasured and the wolves she admired.
