Mary Rose was born October 17, 1935 in Franklin, Missouri to Edward H. Belstle and Elizabeth Frances (Heitman) Belstle. In 1956 Mary Rose married the love of her life, Delphinus Twenter. They were married for 63 years, until Del passed away in March of this year.
Mary Rose was a soft spoken, caring, generous woman. Her word was as good as gold, you could take it to the bank. She was a determined, dedicated, and selfless. When she said she would do something it was as good as done. She was always willing to help. She loved her family fiercely, everything she did was to encourage and support her family. Mary Rose helped her husband, Del, get his business started, working many late hours by his side. She loved to cook. Every meal she made had all the trimmings, and her favorite meal to prepare was roast, with gooseberry pie for dessert. She also loved to play board games and was very competitive when she played.
Mary Rose is survived by two children; Edward Twenter, and Brenda (Mark) Ewings, both of Columbia, MO; a sister, Geraldine Elder of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Veronica Bullock of Columbia, MO and Del Johnson, of Ashland, MO; four great grandchildren; Adriana, Ericka, Alexandrea, and Hayden, and one great-great grandchild, Everleigh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six siblings; Vincent, Virgil, Alvin, Edna, Laura and Lawrence.
