Ray was born, January 17, 1952 in Mexico, Missouri the son of Melvin (Pat) Nichols and Dorothy Fay Nichols. Ray graduated from Centralia High School. After serving in the Army, Ray managed Pizza Huts and Long John Silvers for the last 25 years. He also was a route deliverer for Coca-Cola.
He is survived by his wife, Lomira (Miry) Nichols, one son, Josh (Andrea) Bindseil of Canton, one daughter, Jamie (Tate) Robb of Ashland, sisters Carolyn Nichols of Columbia, Jan (Rick) Patton of Mexico, brothers, Ronald Dean and Steve of Mexico, Dale (Joyce) Nichols of Mokane, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His daughter, Amanda (Mandie); father, Melvin “Pat” Nichols; grandparents, Tressa Nichols, Merle and Harry Mead; and brother Wayne Nichols all preceded him in death.
