Nancy C. Holliday-Fields

Nancy C. Holliday-Fields, 69, of Columbia, MO departed for Heaven on Friday, November 27th, 2020 in Saint Louis, MO. Friends and Family will gather from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Friday, December 11th, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1217 Business Loop 70 West. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.

In keeping with the guidelines put forth by the Boone County Heath Director all guests are required to wear a mask, to keep social distancing (six feet apart), cough into your sleeve and wash and sanitize your hands often. Nancy was born August 9th, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Irish Catholic parents Walter and Charlyn Pack.

Nancy became a mother early in life with five children. After divorce, Nancy became the primary breadwinner and provider for her children working two, sometimes three, jobs to make ends meet, all the while getting her GED, Associates Degree, Under Graduate Degree from Avila, and eventually her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Her persistence to push through hard times while continuing to improve herself through education has been an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Family and Holiday celebrations were the most important things in her life.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Marcia) Gaither of Columbia, MO, Scott McDermott-Gaither of Saint Louis, MO, Jo Judd, of Bonner Springs, KS, and Walt (Jessica) Capell of Columbia, MO; 11 grateful grandchildren; and a gaggle of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Fields, youngest son, Michael Karl Gaither, brothers David and Steven Pack, sister Betty Jane Thebo, and her parents.
