Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 10:00 am – 11:00am at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, MO. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Dotson Cemetery near Lebanon, MO with Rev. Gary Sheets officiating.
Raymond was born on January 31, 1929 in Decatur, IL the son of Emmett and Anna (Laux) Dye who preceded him in death. He was married on May 23, 1975 in Columbia, MO to Donna Watson who survives of the home. Ray graduated from Decatur, IL High School in 1947 and then went on to St Louis College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1954. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict in Germany as a Pharmacy Tech. He enjoyed watching the St Louis Cardinals, golfing, playing bocce and throwing horseshoes. Ray and Donna were avid Mizzou fans and enjoyed going to several basketball and football games.
Other survivors include: three daughters Sherry Lynn Brereton (John) of St. Louis, MO, Brenda Irene Maly (Mark) of St. Louis, MO and Melody Ann Dye of Oaks, PA; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Dye, Donald Dye and Eugene Dye and one sister, Helen Doty.
