He was married to Cleo Peasley on February 7, 1947, and they had 3 children , Randy Hamilton, Teri Miller (Bill) and Rick Hamilton. He served in the Army during WW II in the Rainbow Division. He taught school and was a basketball coach in Illinois before going to work for State Farm Ins. where he retired in 1986. He loved to play golf, listen to gospel music and was a beloved fan of the Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the Carlock Christian Church, Green Valley Recreation, and the Rainbow Division Veterans.
He is survived by his 3 children. He is predeceded in death by his wife Cleo, parents and sister Dorothy Miller. Graveside services will be held in Columbia, Mo at the Memorial Funeral Home and his remains placed in the mausoleum. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
