Andy Cross, age 35 of Columbia, MS passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist in Carriere, MS and was a career diesel mechanic and worked for John Deere prior to opening Andy’s Truck and Tractor. Outside of work, Andy enjoyed nature, fishing, and farming, which he described as his retirement plan.
Andy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles S. Cross, Sr. and Eugenia Cross; and his maternal grandfather, Hollis "Shot" Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Cross of Columbia; parents, Charles Cross and Pam Cross; sister, Mary Cross; brother, Ben Cross (Becca); and his grandmother, Judy S. Mitchell, all of Picayune, MS; his nieces, Charlee Cross, Cayleigh Cross, Camreigh Cross, and Jada Bullock; and his nephews, Brantley Bullock, Daxton Bullock, and Daxton Bullock.
A graveside service, officiated by Brother Josh Spiers, will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
