Betty Mae Cook

Betty Mae Cook, age 94 of Columbia, MS passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at The Myrtles Nursing Center in Columbia. A native of Marion County, MS, Betty Mae was a homemaker and a member of Improve Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Cook; parents, William and Margie Johnson; and seven of her siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Janis Hayman of Mendenhall, MS; a son, Ronald Wayne Cook of Columbia; two sisters, Jerrye Lamousin, and Hazel Pope, both of Columbia; a grandson, Ronnie (Nicole) Cook of Ft. Myers, FL; three great-grandchildren, Eliana Cook, Caden Cook, and Journey Cook; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where friends may visit with family from 11:00am until service time. Reverend Darel Daniels will preside over services and interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
