Charlotte Elizabeth King

Charlotte Elizabeth King, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the age 78. She was born to John and Elizabeth Whitehead and has been a resident of Columbia for the past 70 years. Charlotte loved her family and worked diligently to provide for them. She was very giving and will be remembered for her generous heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Mae Peaks; two brothers, Buster Whitehead and Buck Whitehead and her husband, Walter King. Charlotte is survived by four daughters, Mona Johnson (David), Debbie Ann Smith, Valerie Charlton, and Roslyn Mina (Ricky); two sons, Graven Bilbo and Timothy King (Elizabeth); one sister, Ilene Bilbo; eleven grandchildren, Chance King, Emily King, Haley Broome, Zachary Broome, Johnathan Johnson, Cory Lewis, Gabrielle Wheat, Jerrica Lee, James Lee, Billy Lee, and Casey Mina; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

There will be a visitation for Charlotte at Colonial Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at the graveside in the Boyd-Alexander Cemetery at 3:00pm where she will be laid to rest.
