Gwen Dale Pittman, age 63 passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, MS. She worked at various companies as an administrative assistant including Pine Grove Behavioral Health, Merit Health Wesley, and the Columbian Progress. She was of the Baptist faith and formerly served as church secretary at Improve Baptist Church and was a member of CrossPoint Community Church in Hattiesburg, MS.
Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her parents, George Morris and Patsy Lillis Morris; and a sister, Lee Ellen Morris. She is survived by her husband, Roy Pittman; daughter, Allyson Pittman; a sister, Becky Hoffman; and a nephew, Wesley Hoffman.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Dr. Dean Register and Rev. Darel Daniels will officiate at the service.
