Harold Stringer, age 60 passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his residence in Foxworth, MS. Harold worked in the oil field for a time and had logged pulpwood for 35 years when he retired. He was of the Baptist faith and a loving dad and husband who enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Stringer was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Carney Stringer; parents, Travis “Nub” Stringer and Iona Popwell Stringer; sister, Priscilla “Susie” Speights; and brothers, Johnny Glen Stringer, and Bradley Joe Stringer. He is survived by two sons, Brandon Stringer and wife, Tabbatha, and Derek Stringer; three sisters, Brenda Powell, Linda Pittman, and Deidre Rayborn; four brothers, Donnie Wayne Stringer and wife, Mora, Darrell Stringer and wife, Alicia, Carroll Stringer and wife, Rose, and Andy Stringer and wife, Becky; three grandchildren, Michael Stringer, Santana Stringer, and Bradley Stringer; and a daughter-in-law, Leona Stringer. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Reverend Willie Martin will preside over services and interment will follow at Travis “Nub” Stringer Family Cemetery in Foxworth.
