Homer Carl Boone, of Bunker Hill, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the age of 94. He was born in Sandy Hook to Homer and Ollie Boone, as one of eleven children. Mr. Carl served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He served his Lord and his community through his membership with Bunker Hill Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. Mr. Carl worked for over thirty years at the Bunker Hill Water Association and was an active cattle farmer. Not one to sit still, he was always working on something. He loved to travel with his wife and has had the opportunity to visit all fifty states and enjoyed many cruises. Mr. Carl was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Hilda Seal, Maxine Tynes, Lelia Kennedy, Dorothy Kennedy, and Maureen Hobgood; five brothers, Clyde Boone, Lawrence Boone, Paul Boone, Glenn Boone, and Stanley Boone; and a daughter, Carla Joy Boone Anderson. Mr. Carl is survived by his devoted wife of sixty eight years, Carolyn Boone; a daughter, Cassandra Boone; two grandchildren, Donnie Anderson and Alysha Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Malachi Carl Weston and Axel Lanell Weston.
There will be a funeral service for Mr. Carl at Bunker Hill Baptist Church on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:00am. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00am until service time. The funeral will be officiated by Reverend Danny Forrest and burial will follow in the New Bunker Hill Cemetery assisted by Jeffrey Boone, Joel Boone, Mike Hobgood, Joe Loftin, Jimmy McPhail, and Robert Selman serving as pallbearers.
