He was born in Columbia, Mississippi to Rex and Diane Ginn and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. Johnny attended West Marion High School and spent his entire career working in the oil and gas industry. Johnny was a man of faith who was quick to talk about his Lord to anyone who would listen. He had a big heart and would help anyone who had a need. He served his Lord and his community through his membership with Holly Springs Baptist Church. Johnny was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stevie Ginn and Andy Ginn; and a niece, Raven Geter. Johnny is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sherell Ginn; three children, Patrick Ginn (Sandra), Shana Ginn (Johnny), and Sierra Ginn; a sister Donna Rudewick (Ryan); a brother, Walter Ginn; three grandchildren, Presley Creamer, Isaiah Mansfield, Saylor Ginn, and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
