Kenneth Wade Jarrell, of Kokomo, Mississippi, was received by his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 11, 2022 at the age of 61. He was born in Columbia, Mississippi to Bennie Hugh and Nan Carolyn Packwood Jarrell and was welcomed into the family by his brother Phillip Wayne Jarrell. Ken graduated from West Marion High School, received a Business degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and finished with an Architectural degree. He and his family lived in Orlando, Florida, for over 20 years and moved back in 2001 to be near family. Ken, a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, enjoyed his music, laughter, family, friends and Florida Gator's football. He loved the old family homestead and was constantly following in his father’s footsteps bush hogging and tending a garden. He will be remembered for his big smile.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Hugh Jarrell and his brother Phillip Wayne Jarrell.
He is survived by his mother; Nan Carolyn Packwood Jarrell, sons; Kevin Benjamin Jarrell and Kurt (Nancy) Quentin Jarrell, and nieces; Ashley Jarrell and Emily Jarrell; many cousins and friends and his special friend and love, Belinda (Lindy) Alexander Fife.
The family of Kenneth Wade Jarrell would like to give special thanks and recognition to his nurse, Tiffany Williamson, and the staff of Hearts of Hospice for the loving care he received and to Asbury Hospice for the care and dignity shown in his final days.
There will be a visitation for Ken at Colonial Funeral Home on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Doctor Jerry Watts, will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest in Kokomo Community Cemetery with Cole Branch, Whitney Branch, Jeremy Fortenberry, Patrick Fortenberry, Jim Cazalot and Jeff Cazalot serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Cazalot, Todd Starkey, David Branch, James Allen Reagan, Joey Reagan, Stacy Reagan, Jeff Alexander, and Grady D. Alexander, Jr.
