Laura Joanne Robertson

Laura Joanne Robertson, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life into her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born in Richardsville, Kentucky to Jim and Lindy Stratton and moved to Marion County with her husband in 1949 where she has remained a lifelong resident. Joanne enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers in her gardens, as well as canning those vegetables. She was an excellent cook who found delight in preparing meals for gatherings with her family and friends. Joanne had a love for animals and loved people. She had a special gift of being able bring a smile and laughter to those around her. Some might even say that Joanne was a prankster. Her favorite TV show was Judge Judy. If you knew Joanne, you would know that she was a woman of deep faith who served her Lord and her community through her membership with Morgantown Church of God. She loved reading and studying the Word of God and effectively taught a Sunday School class for over 50 years. Joanne will be remembered her love for God and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Smith; a brother, Glenn Stratton; her beloved husband, Preston Robertson; and her faithful canine companion, Monroe. Joanne is survived by her children, Gail Bracey and her husband, Perry, whom she considered to be a son, Terry Robertson and his wife, Sherri, and Greg Robertson and his wife, Meg; two sisters, Sharon Kitchens and her husband, Darrel and June Massey; four grandchildren, Matthew Bracey and wife, Danielle, Aimee Tynes and husband, Garrett, Tate Robertson and wife, Lauren, and Misti Stampley and husband, Rich; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashlenn Errington, Jaylenn Bracey, Darren Bracey, Skylar Porter, Shiloh Porter, Ike Stampley and wife, Tori, Connor Stampley, Macy Robertson, and Bryleigh Robertson.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Joanne's life at Morgantown Church of God on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 3:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest in Morgantown Cemetery.
