Louise T. Elkins

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Thornhill and Mildred McDonald Thornhill; sister, Catherine Benjamin; and brother, Tommy Glen Thornhill. Survivors include her husband, Richard Elkins of Columbia; two daughters, Shannon R. Cornwall, and Tina Louise Slocum, both of Columbia; three sons, Russell Bolin (Amanda) of Prentiss, MS, Donald Elkins (Geneva) of Denham Springs, LA, and Ronald Elkins (Elise) of Prairieville, LA; a brother, Howard Earl Thornhill (Martha) of Carriere, MS; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Roger Miller, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery assisted by Kyle Bolin, Quinton Bolin, Shavis Slocum, Chase Slocum, Hunter Bolin, and Ray Parks as pallbearers and T.J. Hibley, and Myles Sistrunk as honorary pallbearers.
