On Friday, January 12, 2024, Marie I. Day, 92, beloved daughter of God the Father, moved into her heavenly home prepared for her in Christ Jesus. Her final peaceful moments were surrounded by her two sons.
Marie was born in McComb, MS on November 2, 1931. She was married for 49 years to her late husband, Jimmie L. Day. Marie is survived by her two sons, Thomas M. Day and Michael L. Day, Michael’s wife Ruth, granddaughter Michelle Day Da Silva and her husband Leo, granddaughter Abigail Marie Yu and her husband Tim, and great-grandson Oliver Day Da Silva.
In celebration of her life, a graveside service will be held at Kokomo Community Cemetery in Kokomo, MS on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 12 noon.
Marie was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and spent her last days praising the Lord in song. Marie was dedicated to worshiping with, loving, and feeding her friends and family, as well as building community wherever she went.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
“O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend;
even so, it is well with my soul.” - Spafford
Marie’s faith has now become sight!
