Mary Sumrall James

Mary Sumrall James, age 72 of Foxworth, MS passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, MS. She was a seamstress with Rutter Rex Manufacturing and later became a homemaker. Mary was a member of Morgantown Church of God.

Ms. James was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sumrall and Udine Lambert Sumrall; and sisters, Margaret Magee, Sue Bolin, and Cordie Sumrall. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Turnage (Jimmy), and Darlene McNeese (Danny), both of Foxworth; two sons, Dale Graham, and Mickey Graham (Candy), both of Columbia; three sisters, Gail Sumrall, Martha McDermit (Stanley), and Rachel Glover, all of Foxworth; three brothers, Ronnie Sumrall of Gulfport, MS, Henry Sumrall (Elaine) of Foxworth, and Glen Sumrall (Robin) of Vidalia, LA; 14 grandchildren, Brandon Turnage, Travis Turnage, Hope Rowell, Bedri Graham, Chance McNeese, Daulton McNeese, Sierra Mitchell, Candance Graham, Ryan Graham, Shelby Graham, Todd Graham, Cody Harrison, Destiny Graham, and Jayden Graham; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Cory Odom, presiding. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery assisted by Bedri Graham, Chance McNeese, Daulton McNeese, Todd Graham, Cody Harrison, and Ryan Graham as pallbearers, and Destiny Graham, Shelby Graham, and Caden Turnage as honorary pallbearers.
