Patsy Nell Lillis Morris, age 84 of Columbia, MS, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia. A lifelong resident of Marion County, MS, she was a homemaker, an active member of Improve Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, and a member of Compassionate Friends of Columbia. She loved spending time in her yard, an avid gardener. Over the years, she shared many flower bouquets with her friends and family.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, George Nathan Morris; daughter, Lee Ellen Morris; parents, H.Q. and Lavada Lillis; and brothers, Billy Lillis, and Winston Lillis. She is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Dale (Roy) Pittman, and Becky Hoffman, both of Columbia; niece-sister, Ruth Holland; two grandchildren, Wesley Hoffman, and Allyson Pittman; special friend, Peggy Robbins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Patsy will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Improve Baptist Church where friends may visit with family from 11:00am until service time. Reverend Roy Pittman, Reverend Darel Daniels, and Reverend Johnathan McLemore will preside at the service. Interment will follow at Improve Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Stringer, David Watts, Chris Watts, Allen Brewer, Casey Haddox, and Jerry Burt.
