Richard Allen Brumfield, I

Richard Allen Brumfield, I, age 64 of Foxworth, MS passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. He worked in the oilfield and later became a cattle farmer. Richard attended Turnage Chapel Congregational Methodist Church where he enjoyed fellowship with other church members. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends playing dominoes and floating in the creek.

Mr. Brumfield was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel C. Brumfield and Bonnie Pittman Brumfield. Survivors include his daughter, Kayla Tillman of Foxworth, MS; sisters, Donna Brumfield (Larry King) of Murphy, NC, and Rhonda Toney of Tylertown, MS; a brother, Duwane Brumfield (Beth) of Foxworth; eleven grandchildren, Kristiona Sheree Harris, Amos Neal, Dawson Harvey, Bear Tillman, Jessie Harvey, Casey Harvey, Heidi Faith Harvey, Noah Harvey, Colstin Terrell, Tatum Terrell, and Robbie Terrell; special companion, Tammy Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ronnie Morgan, officiating. Burial will follow at Baxter-Pittman Cemetery.
