Ronald G. “Ronnie” Hill, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 60. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the youngest of twelve children born to Bennie Joe and Jean Hill. He traveled extensively as a truck driver and has seen all of the 48 lower states. Ronnie had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling a joke. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had a giving heart and would give to anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters, and a beloved son, Justin Lynn Hill. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra Hill; 4 daughters, Jodie Holloway and husband, Greg, Marsha Beach and husband, Corey, Crystal Daniels and husband, James, and Jennifer Shalmey; two sons, Chris Godwin and Anthony Shalmey; a sister Ethel Jean Hill; two brothers, Quincy Hill and Roger Hill; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced when the service time and place have been decided.
