Susan Geiger Powell, age 71 passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at her residence in Columbia, MS. She was of the Baptist faith and retired after 30 years of employment with Rutter-Rex. Susan loved to read and enjoyed crafting. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Powell; her son, Benjamin Adam Powell; parents, Milton “Ben” Geiger and Alice White Geiger; and brother, Jeffery Geiger. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ramshur, and Cindy Robichaux (Jeff); her son, Scott Powell; a brother, Milt “Butch” Geiger; four grandchildren, Breanne Lewis, Brice Ramshur, Karlee Powell, and Peyton Powell; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie Lewis, and Josie Lewis.
Graveside services, officiated by Reverend Mark McArthur, will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
