William W. “Bill” Brydon, of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the age of 87. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Lloyd and Arlene Brydon. He graduated from Michigan College of Mining and Technology with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. Bill worked in the auto industry in Detroit before moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he worked with Ethyl Corporation until his retirement in 1999. He was active with the Baton Rouge Rifle and Pistol Club where he served as past president. After his retirement, Bill moved to Kokomo where he has been a resident since 1999. He was a volunteer with Southwest Marion Volunteer Fire Department. Bill will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Brydon; and his daughter, Valorie Brydon Svenson. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan Brydon; his son, Barry Brydon; three grandchildren and four nephews.
The funeral service for Bill will be at the graveside in Kokomo Community Cemetery on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00am.
