Andrew Paul Jensen

He is survived by his wife Georgiann Jensen, his children Ryan Rocco, Nicole MacDonald (Renee MacDonald), granddaughter Bay Joy, and sister Gail Savage (Dan Flynn). He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Stanton, and his father Roland Stanton.

He served in the Air Force from 1975-1979 and received the Airman’s Medal. He was self-taught and had a love for building PCs. He obtained his associates degree and spent most of his life as a Communications Engineer in the telecommunications field, retiring on July 1, 2021. He joined the South Carolina State Guard in December 2024 and served in the Provost Marshal Command and the Division G1 office.

Andy was known for his gift of gab. Andy was an avid fisherman, a competitive pistol shooter, a pool player, a google master, an animal whisperer, and a collector of dragons. He was an active participant as the guard in the Elgin VFW Auxiliary.

Services will be held at the Dunbar Funeral Home, 4219 Hard Scrabble Rd., Columbia, SC on May 31, 2026. Visitation begins at 2:00 pm and the Memorial Service starts at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the American Heart Association.

He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
