Arthur was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Louis, from Teaneck, NJ. Arthur served six years in the United States Army, serving in South Korea. He enjoyed drawing, woodworking, and supporting charitable organizations. For twenty-two years, he was involved with extensive fundraising for MDA. He enjoyed traveling, most recently to Alaska on a two week long cruise. He was very much involved with The Big Red Barn Retreat (offering services for veterans and first responders), VFW of Elgin Post 11079, and American Legion Post 182.
He is predeceased by his son, Brian Arthur Lovece.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Carol and a brother-in-law, Robert Douglas (Laura).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.
