As her colleague from 1973 until her retirement, I thoroughly enjoyed my long friendship and working relationship with Beverly. I loved being her roommate when we attended conferences. She was hard-working, dedicated, and fiercely intelligent. Her attention to detail was legend around campus. Like Stan, I never fail to think of her when I ride down Trenholm Road. I've really missed her since her move to Atlanta, and even though I haven't seen her since then, I will miss her doubly now.

It was obvious that she was very proud of her children and grandchildren, but she was modest about your impressive accomplishments as well as her own. I admired her so much.

Billy, John, Beverly:  I was saddened to read of Beverly's death and regretted that I could not attend the service here in Columbia.  Our grandchildren from St. Louis had come for the weekend, and we had scheduled Sunday pretty fully.
I so much enjoyed my professional relationship with Beverly at Midlands Technical College and always appreciated her care for her students and her commitment to high standards for both herself and her students.  I still think of her every time I ride by "her" house on Trenholm and remember the many times I picked her up for graduations, parties, meetings, etc.  She was a dear friend -- and a great lady!

Beverly....we were out of town and just returned to read about the great loss to you and your family of your mother.  I just wanted to express our condolences to you and know that she must have been in Atlanta to be close to her sweet daughter, who I am sure was a devoted caregiver.
