Debra Vaught-Potter

Columbia: The funeral service for Debra Vaught-Potter, 52, of Columbia, will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia, with The Rev. Sonny Ariail officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o’clock. Memorials may be made to SCWLEOA, PO Box 1424, Columbia, SC 29202.

Mrs. Potter was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 1, 1958, a daughter of Shirley Bowman Vaught and the late Kenneth Vaught. Though she was a dedicated nurse, Debra enjoyed spending as much time with her family has possible. They were her joy.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Potter; sons, Michael Rhea Cochran and Brian Allen Cochran; step-sons, Wes and Vann Potter; grandchildren, Warren and Riley Grace Potter, Trinity and Annabelle Cochran; brother, Kenny Vaught; sister, Cindy (Mark) Riley; her mother; and many nieces and nephews.
