COLUMBIA – DeWitt David Dean, 79, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Union City, PA, he was a son of the late Miles E. and Almeda Burns Dean.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Carol Comstock Dean; son, DeWitt D. Dean, Jr. of Columbia; grandchildren, David Dean, Angel Dean, Carol Dean; sister-in-law, Joyce Jones and her husband Tim of Raleigh, NC; niece, Stefanie Jones of Raleigh, NC, brother-in-law, Jack Comstock and wife Christy of Concord, NC and nephews, Robert Dean, Jimmy Dean and Jeffrey Dean.
