Donnie L. Mattox

Mrs. Donnie L. Mattox, 62, of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Murray and Lucy Harris Lancaster. A little over 44 years ago, Donnie married her high school sweetheart, Tim. She dedicated her life to caring for family and friends, always thinking of others before herself. Donnie was a member of Fair Lawn United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Tim Mattox; her children, Timmy Mattox, Paula Mattox (Wayne Hudson), Matthew Mattox, Michael Mattox (April Morris); grandchildren, Melinda and Michael Mattox, Jr.; sister, Delcie Swindler; and brother Russell Lancaster. In addition to her parents, Donnie was preceded in death by brother, Raymond “Rock” Lancaster and sister, Ann Carter.

The family invites Donnie’s friends and extended family to gather for a celebration of her life at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, Thursday, May 10th, from 6 until 8 o’clock.
