Douglas B Lynds

COLUMBIA – Douglas B. Lynds, 84, was born March 11, 1928 in Norridgewock, Maine. He passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012. He was the son of the late Henry Lynds and Vera Yetton. Mr. Lynds served in the US Army and loved his country. His accomplishments at work were very important to him; his proudest moment was helping to establish a manufacturing plant for Colt Firearms in the Philippines. He loved to play games: especially tennis, golf, cards, and scrabble.

Mr. Lynds, a loving family man, is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Everett Lynds; sons, Mark Lynds, Keith Lynds, David Lynds, Jeff Lynds; daughter, Cynthia Lynds and their families; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Sheryl, Simone, Ethan, and Sean; great-grandchild, Sophia Rose; sister, Reta McQuarrie and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lynds is preceded in death by his son Craig Lynds and sister, Annette Lynds.
