EASTOVER – A memorial service for Edith Louise Barfield Smith, 67, will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Mrs. Smith passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Born in Union, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ethel M. McAbee and Henry C. Barfield. Mrs. Smith was a very loving person and enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She retired from Checker Yellow Cab. Surviving is her son, Tomas Smith and partner Ron Rush; daughter, Tammy Ballard and boyfriend John Hendrix; grandchildren, Chris, Kevin, Shane, Dakota and Jade; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Alexis; brothers, Bobby, Danny and wife Debra and Henry; sister, Margaret and husband Mark Bostic.
