Gloria is survived by her husband, Edward Neal; her children, Lisa and Alex Velasquez, Joe and Katie Jones, Martin “Ty” and Beth Hernandez and Maria and David Spires, along with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jovino and Margarita; her sister, Zoraida and her great granddaughter, Sophia.
Gloria was born on March 27, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Jovino and Margarita Molina. She could often be found playing cards or video games with her kids or grandkids or cheering for a Chicago sports team. She was so giving and a hard worker, never wanting to just sit around but rather always taking care of others. As her work family knows, she put forth 100% everyday trying to do the best she could for her employer and her coworkers. She worked at Food Lion for over 20 years. It was a sad day for her when her stroke made her unable to continue working at the job she loved. She loved being part of the team.
A private service is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Lexington Memorial Cemetery.
The family was devastated by Gloria’s loss and were not prepared for the cost of a funeral service. They want to give Gloria the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say last goodbyes. A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover the cost of Gloria’s funeral.
