Dear Helen,

I want you to know that I will never forget what you did for me when I had an operation many years ago.  I was scared to death, but you were with me every step of the way.  From the Beanie Baby cockerspaniel dog named "Spunky" that you slipped into my overnight bag that I took to the hospital, from the 25 balloons you tied to a chair in my hospital room, to the countless hours you spent with me as I recovered when we walked to help me get my strength back.  You were always there. "Spunky" is still a part of our lives and sits on a bed with a stuffed frog and the Beanie Baby monkey named "Mooch" that you gave me.  I will miss you and your special "goodness" but know that you are in a better place filled with love and peacefulness and no pain.

I always wanted to call her "Mrs. Miller" because she was considerably older than I was, but she strictly ordered me to call her Helen. She was a wonderful neighbor. Her sharp sense of humor and her warm heart made me enjoy any time I got to spend in her presence. She never forgot one time when my brother and I came to visit her when she was sick, and she thanked us just about every time she saw either of us since then. She was a genuinely lovely friend, and her life was a joy to all those who got to be a part of it. My condolences to Ben and the rest of Helen's family and friends. She will be missed.

Ben, Helen was always one of my favorites on the street anytime we came by for various fundraisers. I remember sitting at the kitchen table in your house listening to her talk when I was little. Even until the last time I saw her, she was one of the sweetest (and smartest) people on the face of the earth. She will be missed. Praying for you and your family. May God be with you.

I am so sorry for your loss; I will miss Helen.  She always had a smiling face and pleasant personality and she always was willing to help with any problem when needed.  I was impressed with the history of Helen as a child and the many accomplishments listed as she grew older.  I will remember her as a fine lady and a good friend.

To Helen's family: Deep condolences. I grew up with Helen and remember her fondly from her bravery with polio to her invitation to Rayburn, and on thru high school. She was always a ball of energy and enthusiasm. I spoke with her just in passing at our HHS reunion last fall. Her death was way too soon. May she rest in peace.

Ben, Mary Elizabeth, Ben and Family, There are not enough words to describe how sorry I am for the loss of Helen.  My heart is filled with sadness at all of the suffering each of you have endured for so long but it is also filled with comfort knowing that you can rest in peace knowing that she is now "An Angel In Heaven" and nolonger in pain on this earth.  She brought so much love and happiness into the lives of so many and will be deeply missed until we are all reunited with her in Heaven. May Gods Love and the love Helen had for each of you fill you with strength and courage as you face this next phase of life. Also, I want you to know that my life was blessed and I am forever grateful for the 36 years that you have allowed me to share with your family. I am a better person thanks to each of you and because of all the love Helen extended to me and to my entire family.  She taught me so much and I am forever grateful and honored to have been blessed to be one of her best friends and my own heart now has a void that cannot be filled until we meet again.
