

Hurvie was born to Hurvie Lee, Sr. and Gloria Fox on August 15, 1939 in Evanston, IL, where he spent over 7 decades. An Alum of Evanston Township High School class of 1958, he went on to work for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years. After retiring from the postal service, Hurvie went on to work for Roycemore School of Evanston for 19 years as their bus driver and transportation coordinator.
He was an avid Chicago Bears fan who never missed a game and enjoyed yearly football trips with his family and friends. He was always willing to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
Hurvie is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, his children, Anthony (Pam, deceased), Alan (Annette), Andrew (Rosie), Christina Wilson, DeWayne (Daisha), Daryl (Elsa), and Delia Miles (Donald), 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his brother, James (Bonnie, deceased), and sister Gloria Lomax (McKinley), sister-in-laws Caryl Rice (Lloyd) and Charlene Hall (Lamont), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his parents, Hurvie and Gloria, and his sister Eloise Cardoza.
